Shaped by her background in law, journalism, and stand-up, HBG combines confessional-style comedy with rich, elevated worlds full of colour and surprises to create a fresh surreality.

Working fluidly across live action, documentary, animation, archive, and VFX, she has the rare ability to bring out killer performances with real people, as much as she does with the likes of Cynthia Erivo, Aisling Bea, or Canada’s own Katherine Ryan - among many others. Her work has won a Cannes Lion and several Creative Circle Awards, racked up tens of millions of views and seen her collaborate with Google, Listerine, and ASICs.

She was shortlisted for the BBC Comedy Collective, originated and directed HERSTORY - the first-ever docuseries commission by MBC for Shahid (the biggest streamer in the Middle East) and is mentored by BAFTA-winning director Simon Hynd.
